Based on the 1990s video game created by Capcom, Resident Evil revolves around an apocalypse of zombies that is brought about by the villainous Umbrella Corporation. Contrary to the live-action six films which follow Milla Jovovich’s heroine, Alice, the TV series concentrates specifically on Albert Wesker and his two daughters, Billie and Jade.
Rudolph portrays an adult Billie in the new film. The teenage model of Billie is played by a young actress Siena Agudong.
In this version of Resident Evil, Albert is an Umbrella Corp. scientist who creates an antidepressant which is later the means of delivery for the T-virus that causes zombies. When he moves with his family in New Racoon City, Billie is unable to integrate into the city.
She’s also a compassionate animal rights activist. After learning the Umbrella Corp. is testing animal tests for drugs, Billie finds herself in very serious trouble.
“Ultimately it’s about an individual young girl … whom has to endure many trials and is] in a caring but also complicated relationships with her sister and father,” Rudolph told Collider about her character.

Resident Evil isn’t Rudolph’s first Netflix series. The actor also appeared in the film of Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, The chilling adventures of Sabrina which aired in which she played Agatha Night, a Weird sister and a peer to Kiernan Shipka’s Sabrina.
However, that wasn’t the only project Rudolph worked on with Aguirre-Sacasa. She played a brief, recurring part in the role of Minerva Marble in the fifth season of the CW series, Riverdale. Resident Evil is Rudolph’s third Hollywood project.
